A little bit about me....

Heyyy, I’m Mak, the face behind your coaching and probably the biggest fan of tiramisu you’ll ever meet.
I grew up in Alaska but moved around a lot as a military kid, so I learned early on how important it is to build a sense of belonging wherever you land. Fitness has always been my way to connect both with myself and with others.
Before I fell in love with strength training, I was a runner and triathlete, always chasing that next finish line. Over the years, I’ve competed in Olympic Weightlifting, navigated cutting weight for meets, and worked through my own struggles with binging and finding confidence in myself. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to start (or restart) your fitness journey but also how empowering it is once you find your groove again.
When I’m not coaching or lifting, you’ll probably find me at a concert, planning my next trip, or exploring a new coffee spot while attempting to take my next asthetically pleasing pic of my lukewarm latte.
My approach to coaching is about more than sets and reps. It’s about helping you build strength inside and out, reminding you that you belong here, just as you are (even on the days you’re convinced you don’t).
